Cleaner it yourself from physically and figuratively when computer running slow

So if your computer, specifically a desktop computer or PC, has been running slowly lately, you've come to the right place.


Nothing spells out cleaning your computer, like taking it apart and jamming a vacuum all the way in there! No, you am not serious, as vacuums will completely ruin your computer. But you can use some sort of compressed air or just stick to some paper towels. A computer is a very delicate piece of machinery. Make sure it is not plugged in, and that is off as well as grounded from any electrical sources.

Now, the first thing you want to do is remove the side case. In the back of the computer you will see a couple of screws holding the side case together. All you have to do is take those screws out, gently tug on the side case, and it should pop right off. Now you will get a good inside look at your computer!


Next, you want to get a soft rag, or even tissues, and clean it out. Yes it is that simple. Try to take as much dust out of there as you can, and don't forget to clean the fans, gently. In fact, even compressed air should do the trick. But do not remove any wires, or pull on anything, even though it might not be a big deal, as things are easily reattached, but if something goes wrong, it can cost you a lot of money to get it fixed.


So lets say you are one of those people who do not like getting their hands dirty. Well the wonderful people who created the computer thought of that. If you want to do a quick clean up of your computer, all the old data that's slowing it down, it's as easy as 1, 2 ,3.


First, open the start menu, and click on System Tools, it should be one of the folders, or inside the "Accessories" folder. If you cannot find it, look harder or search for it. In this folder, open the program called "Disk Cleanup". Hey you did it! Just run the program and it will do its best to clean your computer out of all the electrical dust bunnies.


Another small tip is to also run the "Disk Defragmenter". This program might take from minutes to hours to complete, depending when the last time you defragged your computer. In simple terms, this program goes through EVERYTHING and clears up space, fixes errors and should overall make your computer run faster than it did before.
Last open the program called “PC optimization tool”, you did it! Just run the program and it will do its best to optimization schemes and speed up your computer and real-time clear memory to keep your computer at peak performance.
